JAPAN’S PAN PACIFIC COPPER TO DEVELOP CHILEAN COPPER MINE

Japanese miner Pan Pacific Copper Co. (PPC) said Thursday that it has decided to start developing a Chilean copper-molybdenum mine this March with Mitsui & Co.(TSE:8031). PPC, a joint venture between Nippon Mining & Metals Co.

PERTH, March 1 (Reuters) - BHP Billiton Ltd (BHP.AX)(BLT.L), Australia's largest oil and gas producer, has started oil production on schedule from its A$1.7 billion ($1.07 billion) Pyrenees project, off western Australia, it said on Monday.
